As part of ongoing efforts to create a vibrant cultural city and provide meaningful educational opportunities for the next generation, a multidisciplinary creative arts course (featuring bioart, coding, and game design) was developed and presented with support from Seoul’s Yeongdeungpo district’s Cultural City project, YDP Creative Arts Education Center, and the Chong Kun Dang Kochon Foundation.

This three-week program invites students to a curriculum that combines life science and artistic creation. Participants collect, culture, and analyze their own bacterial samples, receiving DNA sequencing support from the Chong Kun Dang Hyosong Research Center. The resulting genetic data is then integrated into students’ sound and game design projects, creating a uniquely creative and multidisciplinary experience.
