Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport is more than a point of departure or arrival; it is a space defined by movement, transience, and unexpected encounter. Every day, people from distant regions cross paths here, their lives briefly aligned by the choreography of travel.

In Sync draws from this shared rhythm. The exhibition explores those fleeting moments of connection—visible and invisible—that arise in the airport’s public spaces. Here, “in sync” is less about perfect harmony and more about subtle motions: the ways we move together, experience anticipation, and become, if only momentarily, part of a larger collectivity.

Featured are eleven video works curated by Paradise Art Lab, each engaging with technology and contemporary culture in distinct ways: through artificial intelligence, kinetic practice, biology, game systems, and data visualization. The artworks, located on the airport’s main display and across dedicated exhibition spaces on the 4th floor of Terminal 2, invite a closer look at the materials and processes shaping our shared present.

At a moment when travel and connection continue to change, In Sync offers a space to pause and reflect. It reminds us that even brief, ordinary encounters in places like the airport can shape new perceptions and quietly connect us to one another.

Our interconnectedness is undeniable and inevitably in sync. Individual steps merge into a greater order, and small movements come together to reveal a grander whole. As we move beyond the pandemic toward new experiences, art offers us a pathway to explore, share, and remember a range of emotions, inviting us to confront a reality filled with curious wonder.
