Psients is a scientist-turned-artist exploring the intersection of biology, sound, and music. His work centers on developing and performing 'living' instruments to meditate on posthumanism, multi-agency intelligence, and our relationships with manipulated living systems. Linking scientific innovation with musical comprehensibility, his work spans techniques including biotechnology, sound design, and live performance.

Before turning to art, Psients received training as a neuroscientist and conducted biomedical research on electric "electroceutical" medicines. He is also an experienced electronic musician, having produced six singles and one EP, while regularly touring around Asia.
